Finding the best halal places to eat in London has always been a great activity for me. Ever since I arrived in London, I set out on the quest for the best breakfast places in London, Central London halal restaurants in Leicester Square or Covent Garden, and cheap bakeries and pastry shops. I’m a foodie – always have been, always will be.

If I look so hard for the best halal food in London, it is because I like searching for places where my practicing little sister will for sure be able to enjoy the food. Being half French and half Moroccan and raised in France, finding halal food was a tough act growing up. When I arrived in London, I made it a point to find the best halal places to eat in London.

That way, when my sister visited me, or I went to the restaurant with Muslim friends, they would be able to eat not only shrimp or fish. What a joy to know that there are many halal steakhouses in London where to enjoy juicy grilled meat, and more places to get halal Full English breakfast than existed just a few years ago! And that’s why looking for halal restaurants in London is so important to me – now let’s dive in!

1. Halal Restaurants in East London: Grounded

Any Foodista will tell you that among the best places for halal breakfast in London, you will find Grounded at the top of their list. It’s one of the top halal restaurants in London whether you’re looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. It’s very common to find a whole line of people waiting to get their Full English fix on a Saturday morning there.

As far as halal breakfast in London goes, this is the most fulfilling I’ve ever tried. There’s a specific texture to both the turkey rashers and sausages. Plus, the sourdough texture of the bread on which you can layer fried eggs and delicious tomato beans finishes making Grounded (also known as Grounded Coffee Company) one of the best halal restaurants in London.

If you’re craving something sweet, the scones and crumpets are delicious at this London halal food place. They also sell amazing coffee, plenty of different organic teas, and there are plugs there if you’re in need of a quick phone or laptop charging sesh.

2. Halal Breakfast in London: Cafe East

The only downside I remember having when I looked for halal restaurants in East London for breakfast and found Cafe East is the payment method. I don’t know whether they now accept card payments, but they didn’t the last time I visited. There’s an ATM not too far, so it doesn’t take too much from the restaurant.

At Cafe East on Roman Road, close to Mile End and Bow, you can get the very best halal breakfast in London. I remember ordering both the pancakes and the Full English breakfast. To be fair, I was honestly blown away by the quality of the recipes and the freshness of the ingredients. They’re both worth a bit of wait in line on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

I don’t order pancakes often from halal restaurants, as I don’t tend to go for meatless dishes. And well, the juiciness of the fruits, the fluffiness of the pancakes, the whipped cream… Everything elevated my halal breakfast in London to a status of the top place to eat in the city. There’s a bit of walking to do from Bow Church or Mile End, but there are some buses around. After visiting this top halal restaurant, you can pass by Superdrug and the Roman Road Market. Oh, and there’s a cool budget Poundland shop nearby too.

Take the tube up to Leytonstone, and plan a cool visit to the area after eating.

4. Best Breakfast Places in East London: Coffee Dulce

I believe I already wrote about Dulce Coffee (also called Dulce Cafe) in Whitechapel when I told you about the best halal restaurants in East London. Aside from making the best halal breakfast in London, the family-run restaurant offers no-frill lunch food. Perfectly put-together sandwiches, Red Velvet cake, hot and cold pasta dishes… All of this rolled into the best halal food in London.

The last time I went was about a month ago, as I was bringing a friend to try a great halal breakfast in London for the first time. I do urge you to try the pancakes, but you’ll have to choose. It’s either ordering the halal Full English breakfast or the pancakes – they’re both very filling. The Full English, its rashers, and juicy sausages sit at the top of my list of all breakfast places in London.

5. Best London Halal Breakfast: The HotHouse Chiswick

£6.95 for a halal Full English breakfast in London is quite an honest price. I’ve been to some places that charge you double, so finding the Hothouse in Chiswick was kind of a lucky strike. I’ve told you some time ago about some great halal restaurants in West London, but I did not specifically stop at the halal breakfast station. If you’re in Chiswick and are craving those halal rashers and fluffy pancakes, Hothouse has some of the best halal food London has to offer now.

The American pancakes are delish – you can choose between the classic maple syrup, melty chocolate, sliced bananas, and many more delicious decorations. It’s not halal fine dining London style, but it’s hearty comfort food and I think that on a weekend day, we deserve such amazing food. A cheap option for halal breakfast in London, and one that doesn’t disappoint.

6. Best Halal Breakfast in London: Rabbit Hole Cafe

Lately, I’ve lived in Seven Sisters, after months spent in East London. At the time of writing, I’m in Rome, where I spend roughly half of my time. As I was walking to a library to work one day, I passed by Rabbit Hole Cafe. I didn’t mind it, kept walking on and it dawned on me that finding a cool halal restaurant in North London for breakfast would be quite nice that morning.

How amazed did I feel when I found out that Rabbit Hole Cafe offers a cool halal breakfast in London? I sat down, ordered an Americano and a Full English breakfast. To be fair, I also wanted one of those amazing layered cake slices Rabbit Hole has in their window. But I couldn’t even finish my halal English breakfast plate, so I dropped it altogether. I felt very well taken care of there – service and prices are both amazing value. One of the best places for breakfast in London without a doubt.

7. Best London Halal Breakfast: Big Moe’s Diner

If you’re looking for a halal breakfast in London tainted with Americanized decor, Big Moe’s Diner is the place for you. It’s just perfectly beautiful and put together inside. So much so that I walked past this halal restaurant in East London quite a few times before actually venturing into it. The whole place just looks very high-end (understand expensive), and it’s actually quite affordable.

I’ve tasted quite a few breakfast places in London, but when it comes to getting a really full plate of the best halal food in the morning, I’ve found Big Moe’s Diner in Aldgate East is quite a star. They have their own little recipes, all put together beautifully and quickly brought to your table. One of the top halal restaurants in London. I’ve never tried their halal burger menu nor their mouthwatering ice creams, but the breakfast made me want to take things further with this halal diner in East London.
